One of the news that really attracted people and it was highlighted by all newspapers, magazines and TV talk shows, was the two girl’s murder. Heba "the daughter of the singer, Laila Ghofran", and her friend Nadine are the two girls were killed in Nadine’s apartment at Al-Nada Compound. Heba called her husband as soon as the murderer left, and told him what had happened. It took from him two hours to arrive, when he arrived Nadine was dead from stab wounds and a slashed neck, but Heba was still alive and she passed away in the operating room after she arrived to the hospital.
The thing that attracted my attention was the way Egyptian media covered the murder of the two girls. Many newspapers and magazines used the murder as a tool to increase the proportion of their newspapers and magazines distribution. They published a lot of rumors about the two girl’s behavior and creating scandals about them like that they were drug addicts. Later on, the forensic showed that there were no drugs in either of the girl’s blood.
Although police men arrested the killer of the two girls, but people still unconvinced that he is the killer.
